Typography, hand-lettering and beautiful fonts are everywhere these days. Have you ever wanted to learn how to create beautiful letters using hand embroidery? Textured roses, stem stitched leaves and delicate French knots will bloom inside a letter of your choice and make a stunning hand made gift or even compliment another handmade item. This workshop with Lisa Dolson will be a relaxing and creative class learning a variety of embroidery techniques. This fun and therapeutic session will have you
hooked on creating roses, leaves and little sprays of buds. Lisa can show you how to incorporate these stitches into a letter of your choice by planning out the design and assisting with those lovely finishing touches such as a little beading.

Embroidered Typography materials required
1 6" embroidery hoop (or whatever size you prefer)
1 embroidery needle
1 needle threader (if needed)
1 small pair of scissors
4 approx. different embroidery threads or pearl cotton
1 piece of fabric approx. 10" square in size *this could be bigger if you prefer or an item you wish to embroider
1 additional piece of fabric approx. 10" square to practice stitches on before making final design.
1 letter of your choice printed to fit within the size of your hoop. (this can be printed from a pc using word)
BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR ALL CLASSES
Payment must be made to confirm the booking. Classes are non-refundable. Please check your diary carefully before you book a class!
With 14 days advance notice, we’re happy to transfer you to another workshop, space permitting, or issue you a voucher to use at your leisure.
If you find you are unable to attend one of our workshops after the 14 days notice period has lapsed, you may send someone in your place – please give us as much notice as possible about this. The alternative is that we make your booking available on the web site and in the shop again and if the place sells we will issue you a refund, if the place doesn't fill, we will give you a voucher which you can use toward another class.
If we have to cancel a class/workshop, we will let you know at least 48 hours in advance. We will offer a credit, transfer your booking to another workshop or issue you a full refund – your choice!
